My name is Chris Schambacher, I’m 19 years old and I have been racing for about 3 years.  I grew up learning to ride from my dad as well as my brother who also use to race. I am also a photographer and journalist for Final Lap Amateur Motocross Magazine and owner of MXschedule.com, which is a motocross news site.

Yes I race, the 125C Mod, 250 C Stock and 250 C Mod classes and attend all amateur nationals and major races throughout the Texas and Oklahoma region.

            I ride a Honda CRF 450F and a Honda CRF 250F

My favorite tracks are Hangtown, Oak Hill, and Nocona.

This year I plan to really step my riding up, and I will be trying to qualify for Loretta Lynn’s this year also.

My goals for this year, is to really focus on stepping up and staying consistent with my training program as well as Top 10 finishes at amateur nationals and qualifying for Loretta Lynn’s.

I think my best race would have to be this year at the Branson USA Amateur National, it was the first race this year I really felt good coming into the main events despite some bad luck in the mains. I also feel that this race was a turning point this year for me by giving me that extra confidence needed to try and get more aggressive battling for better positions.

I would like to try more WORCS style racing, and I think trials would be fun to learn because it’s all about balance, concentration, and learning to move with the bike, which could help in all forms of riding.

In my free time I enjoy photography, mountain biking, and riding pit bikes.

            Yes, MX VS. ATV Unleashed

I would like to see safer track designs that are still challenging, such as true outdoor national style track designs implemented into more of the amateur tracks. I think at the pro level there still needs to be more rights politically for the privateers as well as more support for them.

            Keep it fun, Ride Smart.
