Bryan Jackson

I’m a guy that loves to win at everything. It has somewhat consumed me in everything I guess. I started my own businesses when I was 13 and have never looked back. I like things that cost money, so I’ve always been petty busy in the business world in order to pay for it. I currently have several businesses in Eastland, all housed together, with close to 20 employees. The businesses are Bryans Auto Supply, Computers, Signs, High Impact Graphics, and TXOL Internet. We also have a UPS shipping center. I am married to a wonderful lady, a Gift from God, that has enabled me to live a dream life – and she is the major part of that dream, even though I am addicted to adrenaline. I also have 2 great kids and am so proud of them both. Our family does trackside ministry at all of the events we attend and it has truly been a blessing to Glorify God in this way.

I started riding when I was 5 years old. I didn’t get to start racing until I was around 10, in fact, I still have the trophy. I got 2nd to some hotshoe in Brownwood Texas named Cris Englett. That was the first of many years of trying to not get 2nd – I’ve never perfected it.

My first ride was on a Yamaha 175. I couldn’t touch the foot pegs and I would have to pull up to my dad in order to stop. He sure was nuts to let me do that, but I guess we’re all nuts to mess with bikes. My very own first bike was a 1971 Yamaha Mini Enduro 60 and I still have it. I restored it about 10 years ago and gave it to my son on Christmas – but it didn’t run as good as it looked I got him something else later and stored the old bike.

My favorite track, event, racing, environment and everything else packed with a venue - is Graham. I could write a book on the joys of that event and what it means to me and so many others. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it to everyone – be spectator or racer. It rocks!

Race on News Years Eve Eve and then spend some time with the in-laws.

Keep trying to serve God better. Continue getting healthier. Keep working on being a better father, husband, boss, friend and racer. Did I mention I like racing?

Not outside of what us Jackson’s already do. We make movies, we’ve had bands and been in the entertainment business before – probably will never go back except playing occasionally at Church. Have you seen Scott Olson ride though? He’s a good candidate for a Movie documentary on racing. You could watch him and know what to do – or maybe what not to do……………just kidding.

I’ve raced Sprints and Dwarfs before. I don’t think I am interested in any kind of racing as long as I can be competitive in MX. As long as that drive is there, I don’t have room in my head for thinking about any other forms of racing. I am ate up with it.

Sure it does. I hope, and I’m serious, that I can learn to do at least a whip before my race days are over. I just can’t seem to understand it; therefore I can’t seem to do it. But the crazy stuff scares me and I am not interested in that. As crazy as it sounds, I actually am a safe racer and analyze risks associated with obstacles very carefully. Once I’m comfortable though, I can gas it with the best of ‘em.

Study the Bible. I am really interested in mankind and enjoy studying up on our weird breed. The Bible has an answer for everything, and usually some of those answers contradict each other. So it’s really a challenge to get in the word and let the spirit guide and direct me. I’ve enjoyed learning more about the Good News.

No. I don’t like playing games because it makes me feel guilty – because I always need to be doing something to get ready for the next race. Which in our family is always within 5 to 7 days?

I would make all jumps forgiving enough to virtually eliminate a frame case. I’ve seen so many people hurt through the years that didn’t have to be. I know that we all feel good when we clear that scary triple, but it can still be adventurous without the added danger. I think its getting better at a local level and I’m glad to see it. Oak Hill recently stepped up and did this to their track and I applaud them for it. More facilities need to follow suit as most of their customers are just there to have fun and go back to work. Enough with people getting life long injuries, and even loosing their life. This sport, for the most part, is for fun and we fun seekers must demand safeguards as its risky enough even on a fun safe track.

Be safe and know why you’re racing. If you’re having fun, your limits should remain in perspective. If you’re trying to go somewhere, get some help from a professional and remember you won’t get faster if you’re laid up in a hospital bed.

I’d like to thank God for all his Glory. I really do believe there is a God and it has helped me so much through all my life. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and God always understands and forgives. Fortunately I never got messed up with alcohol and drugs and was blessed with a wonderful mom, dad, brother, wife and kids. And if that isn’t enough, what friends I have to add to that great list. My surroundings are the key to my happiness. And Gods promise is that he will show favor to those who diligently seek him.
